Melissa Shaw at Ortona Elementary started a gingerbread exchange a few years ago. Each year we are asked if we would like to make gingerbread people and send them to friends all over the US. It is such a fun way to talk about the things that make us unique and learn about states in the process. Each year the gingerbread people get cuter and cuter. Take a look for yourself and look where they came from! Of course I had to give the Louisiana one to Ms. Jess. He was sporting his orange and purple gear ready to play the National Championship game against Alabama. Go LSU!
