Making Heart Sculptures

February is more than heart month. It is a month for friendship and love. Our 4th graders used teamwork and their taping skills to create heart sculptures out of stickers (tape) and construction paper. There was laughter and smiles throughout the room.  Each class took on a different perspective when it came to creating a heart sculpture as you can see by watching this video.

Update on Valentine's Day

Our administration provided a lovely spread for Valentine's Day fun for the teaches and staff.  It was amazing!  Hit the spot on a sweet heart of a day!  Thanks Dr. L and Becky for making us feel so special.
What better way to celebrate Valentines' Day with our Clutter friends than a dance party and @gonoodle!
Thanks Ms. Amy for the laser light show because it was the best ever!

My class friends and parents are truly amazing!! Thank you so much for all the love and yummy treats.  I feel so loved and appreciated!  You guys are the best!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday was so much fun with the firsties.  We used the iPad cameras and the app Camera 360 to create some cool comic looking pictures.  Put that together with some narration and we have Someone I love… Too cute for words!

Valentine's Day 2013

Well the week did not go exactly as planned.  I had to get to Nebraska for my grandma's funeral.  She was a lovely lady so full of energy and a glimmer in her eye.  My kids thought the world of her and I am so glad they got to know her even with living so many miles away.  This is one of my favorite pictures of grandma with Kaile and Carson at the beach.  She loved coming her to get away from all that snow in Nebraska. When I got back guess what I was met with the biggest hugs from my firsties and parents.  There were cards and even flowers!  Thank you all so much for thinking of us during this hard time.
Valentine's Day was put on hold until I got back.  We got to share our February family projects while stuffing them with valentines and treats.  Check out how creative these firsties are!
